About Nancy Miller-Baiz

I grew up in Connecticut in a wonderful old 1860s farmhouse with a red barn on 14 acres. It was much more than a house - it was our family's identity, our manse. After a year in Norway and obtaining a degree in French, I worked as an "au pair" and in the stock market, banking, and teaching. These jobs took me to France, NYC, Texas, and Delaware.

Dwellings in each location were unique, the location largely dictated by local circumstances, i.e. rural/countryside-foreign country-urban/city. Each dwelling had its own caché - its own combination of the practical and the aesthetic. These experiences showed me how different real estate can be while still fulfilling the universal need for a cozy place to call home. Matching buyers' and sellers' needs with desired locations and personal preferences was a natural follow-on from these experiences. It is something I enjoy and do well.

I have been licensed in DE and PA since 2002. My experience spans the boom and the bust years and more. Banking taught me the importance of customer service, patience, problem solving and attention to detail which I employ in all my real estate transactions. The stock market taught me the inevitably of interest rate cycles and how they affect all markets, particularly real estate. Teaching has provided an important backdrop to explaining the all-important purchase/sale contract. In summary, my prior work experience has contributed greatly to my keen interest and success in real estate.

My interests: the outdoors, cycling, reading, languages, travel, and historic homes. I used to hike, ski, and go horseback riding.

And finally, the real estate market is dynamic, ever-changing. A strong work ethic, an entrepreneurial spirit and a goal to exceed expectations is what motivates me each day. I especially enjoy the challenges---no two transactions are the same and there is always more to learn!

I say to my clients that "your hurry is my hurry". I also say that "no hurry" usually means more time to make better decisions. I encourage all family members to get involved so the best choices are made. The journey, whether buyer or seller, is important and very personal. My clients choose the dates, times and places that work for them... be it nights, weekends or daytime, I am there. So call me so we can get started!
